The Cedar Court Grand Hotel is a luxury hotel UK which is housed in the former North Eastern Railways headquarters in York. This resplendent historical building has been converted into a five star hotel yet managed to retain much of its historical charm and opulent touches from its former life.

Guests will appreciate the hand made bricks and facade of Portland stone, as well as the black and white Belgian marble floors in the lobby and the imitation Roman mosaic lining the corridors. It is not too hard to imagine the rail clerks bustling through these same corridors as they did their best to ensure the trains stayed running on time. Rooms also provide an antique ambiance as they are painted in soft, pre war colors and furnished in a classical, elegant style. Yet they also boast modern conveniences like underfloor heating and HD TVs to ensure a comfortable stay.
